Powdery and salty nuances stimulate the edges of the tongue, adding a precise and energetic quality.

The fruity notes are juicy and full-bodied, and even floral with hints of rose, orange and peach. This is followed by toasted apple, almond. The wine's appeal is its lively and invigorating taste: it is structured and has a wonderful purity. The density and the fruitiness of the wine complements —the freshness, elegance, and length.

The golden and deep yellow hue sparkles with luminous highlights as the bubbles rise. The bouquet is intense and precise, and notes of spring flowers, Williams pear, and citrus peel gradually emerge. Aeration produces a crescendo of aromas consisting of dried fruits (lightly grilled hazelnuts), a warm-stone character, smoky flavours, and cocoa beans. In the mouth, the wine is impressive: the palate is a rich array of flavours, youthful energy, and dynamism, with a wonderful blend and juxtaposition of acids, salinity, stones, fruit, and a creamy texture.

Bright clear hue with deep lemon-yellow and greenish tints. The fine, even bubbles form tiny threads in the glass. The nose is discreet and delicate, the most prominent notes being of orchard fruits such as apple and pear. After aeration, the apple aromas take on more caramelised scents of baked apple, tarte tatin and finely roasted hazelnut. The Chardonnay then develops a limestone character with mineral notes of hot stone, delicate spice, candied lemon, citrus, graphite, and even a hint of tobacco. The wine is velvety on entry to the palate, with a soft, smooth texture which dominates the palate, coating it with a delicate yet concentrated mouthfeel. It then broadens to reveal a zesty yet mineral freshness. The wine continues to take shape on the palate showing density at first, followed by chocolatey, almost tannic, notes and then finally a slightly bitter freshness that lengthens the finish. The undeniably saline end-palate is underpinned by an interminable chalky freshness that makes your mouth water, refreshes the palate, and invites you to take another sip!

Amber hue with green and orange tints. Fine, even and lively sparkle. Complex and intense bouquet disclosing candied citrus, yellow fruit, Williams pear, pollen and toasted almond. The delicately seductive bouquet shows intensity and well-honed precision. The wine is powerful, full yet tight, on entry to the palate. The 2008 is undeniably well structured but in a particular way: the wine’s almost saline concentration has not been created by the sun, but is derived from the dryness of the chalk soil in a particularly cool summer. The result is a smooth, almost liquorous, mouthfeel that coats the palate with a powerful yet soft texture. This gives way to an incredible finish, underpinned by freshness and an impression of absolute purity with a taut and very saline character. Fine, steady stream of bubbles, evenly distributed across the glass. Complex bouquet dominated by an almost minty freshness combined with zesty fruit, wild strawberry and raspberry. The nose opens out to reveal spicy and smoky notes, characteristic of the Pinot noirs grown in Cumières, along with aromas of dried fruit, roasted almonds and cocoa beans. Underlying saline notes, reminiscent of sea spray. On the palate the wine is soft and smooth yet also piercingly fresh. A well-integrated wine with excellent body, pleasant freshness, long length and delicate mouthfeel. The body softens gradually and coats the palate with a velvety smoothness underpinned by a pleasant salinity and delicate hints of tannin from the flesh and skins of the Pinot noir grape. The finish is fresh, long and very persistent.

Orange hue with salmon pink tints. Patient, even effervescence. Spicy aromas of Sichuan pepper combined with sappy and floral notes of violet and gentian. Toast and mocha on the nose resulting in an elegant and concentrated bouquet. After aeration, intense fruity notes start to emerge along with concentrated notes of wild raspberries. The palate is fruity. The Pinot noir offers an intense fruitiness and a tight and juicy structure complemented by ripe, almost sweet tannins. The fruit and texture display remarkable depth and are starting to show a typical “Pinot” character.

The Pinot Noir’s concentration and maturity adds distinctive notes of ‘fruit liqueur’ (raspberry) and aromas of roasted almonds and gingerbread. The attack is voluptuous—it is both intense and amazingly light; a concentrated blend of fruit based on chalky freshness and firm, but well-integrated tannins that strengthen the wine’s precision and appeal.

Golden yellow hue flecked with green. Delicate, compact, gentle bubbles. Intense aromas of juicy, ripe fruit such as vineyard peach and candied lemon combined with toasty notes and hazelnut. The ripeness of the fruit is revealed through the aromas of baked apples, tarte tatin, caramelized spices and a hint of fresh wood and benzoin. The attack is juicy and textural. The gentle, velvety smooth effervescence coats the palate before giving way to an intense, saline freshness. This delicious combination gives the wine a lovely intensity further enhanced by excellent freshness and a pleasant hint of bitterness. This intensity overrides the juicy, rounded body and gives way to a clean, direct and remarkably pure finish.

Carte Blache possesses a fine but very regular steam of persistent bubbles. It has a golden color shimmering with old-gold reflections and has sweet, ripe fruit on the nose with intensely floral, honeyed notes and hints of warm sugared almonds. The attack is rich and creamy, filling the mouth with flavor but without a trace of heaviness. the warmth and sweetness of the nose follows through on the palate, now dominated by the notes of crystallizede citrus. This adds a freshness that balances the wine's volume and creates a sense of lasting harmony.
