Full, bright yellow. Penetrating, slightly candied aromas of lemon, lime, flowers, spices and stone. At once rich and precise, with terrific sappy material. Strong crushed stone character throughout. This juicy, floral, very fine-grained wine should be taste early but also evolve slowly.Bachelet Monnot Bourgogne Pinot Noir 2021

The 2017 Bourgogne Blanc offers up aromas of lemon oil, pastry cream, crisp green apple and beeswax, followed by a medium-bodied, succulent and open-knit palate, concluding with a delicately chalky finish. It's a good introduction to the domaine's wines.Bachelet Monnot Pommard Les Chanlins 2021

light of day. In this vintage it contains 50% whole bunch. It has an uncomplicated but attractive nose of brambly black fruit mixed with touches of rose petal. The palate i s medium bodied with such a silky texture that I would swear it comes from the Côtes de Nuits. Very pure and sensual on the finish. This is superb. The 2018 Bâtard-Montrachet Grand Cru comes from vines just a handful of meters down from Montrachet. It sees no new oak and is aged instead in one- and two-year-old 350-liter barrels. This prudent policy allows the terroir to really shine through with gorgeous Granny Smith apple, apricot blossom and limestone-like aromas. The palate is very well balanced yet very subtle, perhaps more bashful than the Folatières and Referts at the moment. But you can feel the persistence on the finish. A Bâtard-Montrachet that deserves four or five years in bottle to show what it can do.
