Corison philosophy is to make complex wines that walk the fine line between power and elegance. Cathy employ time honored winemaking techniques, using only small French oak barrels sourced from several forests for complexity. Though it's Cathy's name on the label, Corison is a true family winery. Cathy's husband, William Martin, a winery Renaissance man, designed the barn, keeps all the equipment humming and manages the day-to-day details of running the business.

This inky wine jumps out of the glass with ripe boysenberries and floral perfume. 2013 was a near-perfect vintage with ideal spring weather for flowering, which resulted in a bumper crop of deliciousness. With highs seldom climbing out of the 80F’s and chilly nighttime lows, an unseasonably cool summer gave the wine its firm structure. Lush ripe red fruit with balancing natural acidity complement the characteristic Kronos viscosity. The tannins are assertive but feel like velvet.
