Yann did not wish the new oak portion to be blended into Les 1er Ponts thus created Tete de Ponts to allow this experiment.

Pinot Noir grapes sourced from a vineyard near the village of Ladoix-Serrigny which is about 6 kilometres north of the town of Beaune and also on the road to Villers-la-Faye which is where Yann lives and where some of his most interesting vineyards are. The wine was made with a reasonably long maceration but aged in vats to maintain the freshness and vibrancy of the wine.

One of the most noble wines of the house. Very, very fruit forward. Extremely limited quantity.

A richer and deeper Pinot Noir, it deserves its title “Grand”.

This is the quintessence of his family’s Domaine and made in honour of Yann’s grandfather who pioneered the original plantings in this terroir.

Extremely  smooth and beautifully layered with rich red fruit, elegant acidity and savoury richness
